Last year, Hasbro repackaged their overabundance of My Little Pony The Movie mane 6 fashion styles into a "Budget series" of fashion styles, featuring the mane 6 (excluding Applejack), after they failed to rid their stock of them with the Ultimate Equestria Collection (which also ended up being repackaged last year too). Unfortunately, those did not sell out either and they likely still had an overabundance of the figures packed somewhere in their warehouse that they desperately needed to get rid of, so Hasbro decided to pull a Hasbro and test their luck again by re-releasing them, once again, into this years Pony Life; Potion Magic theme.
They're also going to be repackaging the budget dress up fashion style sets from last year! Great! Get more information by reading after the break!

A very G1 post today! A few months back, a store in Australia called Big W listed their very own Limited Edition Rainbow Dash plush, and as a followup, they've now also released a retro G1 Cotton Candy limited edition plush! This may be the first G1 pony plush released since the 80's, so it is a pretty remarkable release! Alongside this, another store in Australia called Alfy's Toys has listed the newest wave of G1 reproductions by Basic Fun, including Sparkler, Gusty, Surprise and Heart Throb, as part of the new Unicorn & Pegasus collection. You can find all those listings after the break!
When it comes to new toys, countries in Asia have a tendency of releasing them first, especially being that they are produced in China. Lilys_Toys over on Instagram and Twitter is one of the lucky people who has contacts in Asia, and gets the first hand scoop of new toys, as they're responsible for many of the findings we've shared in the past. Today is no exception, they've found images of the second wave of Equestria Girls; Fashion Squad Potion singles in package!
These dolls were first revealed at Toy Fair earlier this year, however displayed loose. We finally get a look at some of their accessories, as well as their packaging. In the second wave, Fluttershy, Rainbow Dash and Twilight Sparkle will be available. Again, many thanks to Lilys_Toys for the heads up! Check them out on their social media platforms! Nearing the halfway mark of the year, it was beginning to look likely that Rainbow Dash and Rarity would miss their debut as 3" brushables in the new Pony Life inspired potion line of toys, with the exception of their 5" counterparts in the Mega Friendship Collection. However, while browsing online, I came across photos of the second wave of Potion singles, consisting of both Rainbow and Rarity!
Like the last set, they are stand alone figures with ball joint heads, including a comb and 4 surprise accessories, visible in their out of the box stock images. Anyways, keep reading to get their out of box photos! The Power Rangers : Morphin Pink Pony & the Transformers : My Little Prime figures announced a couple of weeks back on Amazon UK have finally been revealed! Last week, the corresponding Ghost Busters Plasmane figure was revealed, but these two were still left without images, until now.
Each figure is styled after the G1 My Little Pony style (even though they share body sculpts with G3), and feature fully sculpted manes and tails, My Little Prime of which has a metallic finish over, as well as on his body. Each features a lot of printed detail, however it still looks very well printed and high quality. So far, no release dates have yet been made public, but we should be expecting them very soon. Amazon UK in fact temporarily listed the Plasmane pony for sale but went out of stock very quickly. You can get the out of box images down below! Thanks to ToyNewsi.com! Only about a week since Amazon UK confirmed a series of MLP collaborations, and the toys are now starting to be revealed, today including the elusive Plasmane figure, and surprisingly a Dungeons & Dragons based set! Dungeons & Dragons was not part of the list of collaborations released last week, so it gets you wondering if there may be various other sets inspired by many other 80's and 90's brands, that have yet to be announced. Who knows? Anyways, you can get more information on the sets above, below!
Back in 2018, Pez announced a series of glitter-headed My Little Pony Pez toys, a variation from the figures released in the years past. Unfortunately, the series never came to be, and was delayed ever since. But now, PezPals.Blogspot.com has gotten confirmation that the figures will indeed be releasing this year, and in fact should be released right now! They were scheduled for a release date on May 1st, however the news came a little late to us here in the MLP fandom, whoopsie!
The set consists of the typical three, even though Fluttershy has also been made available in Pez form in the past, so it's unusual that not all the character molds will be getting the treatment. It's nice to see a new variant of these, especially being that all the other releases were just the same figures, repackaged. Will you be interested in getting these? Again, many thanks to PezPals.Blogspot.com for the info! After Toy Fair this year, it was a complete mystery what the newely announced Kiss My Unicorn Princess Celestia figure would look like, especially after the prototype was revealed to have a beautifully colored mane, and fully opaque wings, where-as the one on display lacked most of the details and had translucent wings, however had a long cord hanging from her neck, giving the assumption that she too was a prototype. It left many confused, however being a fandom who's used to Hasbro's tactics at this point, our greatest bet was towards the latter. And here we are, all assumptions correct.
Abgee, a toy distribution site based in the UK, who had listed the figure days before her reveal or toy fair 2020, has finally updated the listing with the figure's final images! It also appears that Hasbro made slight changes to the name of the set too. Get her listing down below! A few months back Kotobukiya shocked the entire MLP fandom by announcing their new surprise statue of Sunset Shimmer, to correspond with their recently completed lineup of My Little Pony EG inspired figures. At the time, we only got a look at the silhouette, however they've just revealed the fully colored concept art!
As we can see, her outfit is greatly inspired by her appearance in the first two films, and her signature pony pose is also inspired by a scene in the first Equestria Girls movie. There is no release date yet, but I wouldn't assume it to be too far out there, maybe sometime early next year, if it goes anything like the past releases. As per usual, expect her to cost around $100-$109 USD. A few days back I found a listing on Amazon.co.uk for the new Mega Friendship Collection, basically outlining that the set would be a 5' scale, 9-figure pack featuring the mane 6 and 3 Princesses, and would feature 15+ accessories. They had also listed the new Kiss My Unicorn Celestia figure, both of which have yet to receive any images. But among this "new listing spree" they've gone on, I also found another that was quite peculiar. It was a listing for an MLP x Ghostbusters collaboration, and further reading the description, I'd also found that there might be a few other collabs on the way as well. Get the description and all that information after the break.
