A new collection pack consisting of the Pony Life styled minis has surfaced, including various ponies we had yet to see in the pony life style of blind bags!
The set is titled "Unicorn Party Celebration," following theme with the entire unicorn aesthetic that this falls toy lineup appears to have. It will include 10 ponies in total, consisting of mane six, supporting characters, and background characters, all decorated with frosting designs, as if taken part in a frosting explosion of some sort, which wouldn't be out of the ordinary for the Pony Life show. The set includes Starlight Glimmer*, Derpy Hooves*, Rarity, Princess Cadance*, Fluttershy*, Rainbow Dash*, Twilight Sparkle, Pinkie Pie, Mrs. Cake, and Applejack! ( * = First traditional pony life style mini release). Based on previous mini figure packs, it is safe to assume that the set may retail around $25 USD, if not a bit less.

Just a quick little update regarding the My Little Pony magazines produced by Egmont; As of recently, Egmont has been re-purposing their older, leftover my little pony figures into newer issues of their my little pony magazines. With G4 coming to an end, it would make sense that the company would try and get rid of as many of their leftovers as possible, and as a result, Princess Celestia will be re-purposed into this months issue of the Egmont magazines.
Unusually though, the issue for August has also been revealed, and it's yet another brand new Pinkie Pie figure, including a new sculpt and everything. This is Pinkie Pie's 3rd time appearing as a figure in the egmont magazines, however it's unusual that they will be producing a new batch of uniquely sculpted G4 style figures, considering it's obvious that they're trying to get rid of their older ones. This version will also include a few accessories, many reminiscent to those of some G4 sweet shop accessories. Many thanks to Darya Gordon over on VK and Newsstand.co.uk Some more fashion style sized news! The Mega Friendship Collection which we first posted about upon its publication to Abgee back in February (the listing has unfortunately since been removed) has FINALLY, after several painful months of waiting, received images! Continue reading for more information regarding the listing, including descriptions, general price point and some more images of the set!
Lily's Toys has once again saved us from a shortage of pony news! Over in China, they've spotted a batch of new Reveal the Magic Fashion Style releases, similar to those of the Potion Dress Up sets, and maybe even the Mega Friendship Collection, only this time, they have a very standard cardboard packaging which can be compared to that of the older styling sized ponies. And with only one accessory, a comb, it's safe to assume that these will be budget releases. Per usual the ones first available are the Typical Three, however this is actually the first time we see Twilight Sparkle and Rainbow Dash in fashion style size, since their debut in the Pony Life teaser. Pinkie Pie does also appear to have a darker hair color than normal. Continue reading for images of all three!
For the past few weeks, various sources have started listing the Unicorn Sparkle collection up for pre-order around the world. Unfortunately most of these listings had yet to receive any images, or had just used the images of the prototypes revealed before New York Toy Fair 2020. Up until now, we've had no images of the final release, but UK toy distribution site, Abgee, has changed that.
They've had the set listed for months now, but have just uploaded images of the set, including In box, out of box, and back of the box photos. You can continue reading after the break for the listing and some more photos of the set. Only a few days after we reported on some new Pony Life styled Cutie Mark Crew figures appearing, have we found images of them in their packaging as official releases! Two new sets have been revealed on various Thai websites, including a new Unicorn Party Present pack and a Unicorn Party Hat set, which will each contain 2 or more ponies, and a variety of accessories. The only downside is that we don't actually have images of what is contained inside the Party Hat, as the listings we've found did not provide us with any. However, it is still safe to assume what is to be included based on the design of the packaging. Keep reading for more information!
Oh my goodness! A bunch of new Cutie Mark Crew figures featuring the updated Pony Life style of eyes have been spotted by Instagram/Twitter user @Lilys_Toys. I just find this completely coincidental because I had just finished photoshopping a Cutie Mark Crew rarity with the Pony Life designs, out of thought that the Cutie Mark Crew sculpts may have appeared more accurate to the new Pony Life animation than the actual toys we got, and a few moments later I get this bit of news!
Aside from having the Pony Life eyes, we can see that the figures have varied finishes, we see glittery manes and translucent bodies present. This suggests to me that they may be part of a future blind bag wave. Speaking of blind bag waves, various websites have listed a 3rd batch to the Pony Life Potion blind bags, called the "Gemstone" batch. Could these be part of that series? More images and info after the break! A reliable Instagram user known as @Lilys_Toys, who has sent in various bits of news to us in the past, messaged me on Instagram the other night regarding concept arts for the Reveal the Magic toy line and kiosks. They state that an official Hasbro vendor in Asia has shared these few images with her. It's unfortunate that the images are of such low quality, however it's still neat to see the 3D rendered models of the ponies, who may be used in future sets.
But among this, lies a small image of a possibly new playset, so if you'd like to see that, continue reading after the break! My Little Pony Best Gift Ever Toy Line Re-imagined; An opinionated redesign by MLP Life News.6/7/2020 When we think back to Toy Fair 2018, I bet most of us remember the disappointment for what the main line, being School of Friendship, had in store for us. However, Hasbro did introduce a toy line that was decently passable to the fans, entitled "My Little Pony; Best Gift Ever" which would be based on their upcoming holiday special of the same name. Tired of seeing the same mane 6 figures over and over again, fans welcomed the toy line, as it had re-introduced the mane 6, Shining Armor, Princess Cadance & Flurry heart all with pearlescent finishes, that was until they actually got their hands on the figures and realized how low quality they were and how much of an inaccurate representation of the special they were, after it had aired.
The line was built up to be a success within the fandom, but ultimately faced a sad demise, being one of the most forgettable My Little Pony toy lines in the history of G4. But why did this happen? What could have been done better? Follow me after the break to find out how I would have done the Best Gift Ever toy line! After months and months of waiting, the entire finalized stock images of series 6 Cutie Mark Crew figures has finally been revealed!
Hasbro first revealed the concept 3D models over on MyLittlePony.com, and since then, stock images of the individual figures had slowly began trickling out, revealing that the figures will have a translucent finish, something not seen with the 3D models first revealed. Up until now, we've only received a handful of images (which we will still feature down below just in case anybody is interested), so it's nice that we now know what each individual figure will look like upon their official release. You can find more stock images after the break! |
